Currently in Spain there are 50 provinces that, along with the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla and some other minor territorial possessions, make up the entire Spanish territory. All of them are unique and different in many aspects, one aspect being their population density. The population density ranges from 800 people per square kilometer in the province of Madrid, to less then 10 people per square kilometer in the province of Soria. This ranking orders the provinces of Spain by their population density.
