Artists that Have Sold the Most Albums in Music History (2010) »
This ranking includes the singers and music bands that have sold the most albums, singles, and music videos in history. Revenue obtained from live performances is not included in music sales. Sales could be in different formats: vinyl record, cassette, CD or mp3 from the Internet (legal downloads). Please note however, that this information is not official as there is no organism that measures the worldwide volume of sales. In the USA there is an entity called the RIAA, but it confers the same importance to the sale of albums as of singles.
