Every year People magazine publishes an issue with a list known as "People's 100 Most Beautiful People." This list is not terribly formal as it does not establish any order between those selected, beyond the person holding the number one position, who appears on the cover. Plus, it doesn't always complete the list with the established number, which until 2005 only included 50 selections. People is an American weekly magazine whose first edition dates back to 1974. Although the printed magazine equally covers news about celebrities as well as human news, due to an editor agreement since 2001, its website focuses exclusively on celebrity news.
