This ranking lists the 500 world companies that have the greatest number of employees, according to data obtained from Fortune Magazine. Fortune Magazine is a business publication that is part of the Time Warner division. It was founded by Henry Luce and Britton Hadden in February of 1930, four months after the Wall Street Crash. Fortune is especially known for publishing rankings measuring wealth, the best companies to work for and all kinds of studies related to the world of finance.
