Architecture is the technique and art of projecting buildings and structures that affect man´s environment. According to the popular clichés, architecture is based on three principles: Beauty (Venustas), Durability (Firmitas) and Utility (Utilitas). Consequently, architecture can be defined as a balance between these three elements, with none of them standing out from the other two.
