Ranking of History's Best Poets »

(100 votes)

Poetry is an art and there are those that believe that the best poetry is eternal and universal, because it deals with universal themes and feelings that all human beings can relate to. This literary genre which draws more from the aesthetic qualities of language than from content is one of the oldest artistic expressions. In fact, the greatest names in the history of poetry, such as William Shakespeare, Pablo Neruda, Federico Garcia Lorca, Goethe, Dante, Becquer...etc. manipulated poetry at their will to express emotions that can be interpreted differently by each person that reads it. Participate in this ranking and help us find the most important poets in history.
