This annual ranking lists the 99 women that are most desired as ideal partners according to the readers of AskMen.com. For this ranking readers are asked to look beyond sex appeal and beauty and select the women that have the characteristics they value most in a potential partner like intelligence, sense of humor, charisma, and ambition. The result is an annual ranking that represents the definitive indicator of what men desire most in their partners. This ranking was created in 2001 and only selected the 50 most beautiful women, but the following year the ranking grew to include the 99 most desired women. In 2008 more than 5 million AskMen readers voted on the women from music, fashion, sports, and entertainment that represented their ideal woman.
