The blue flag is an emblem characteristic to beaches and marinas that fulfill a series of weather conditions and facility requirements, and they are bestowed annually by the European Foundation for Environmental Education. This emblem is granted in more than thirty countries in Europe, South Africa, New Zealand, Canada, and the Caribbean. The Blue Flag demands compliance with high sanitary-environmental standards, the existence of adequate sanitary services, no spills, as well as rescue services, lifeguards, and first aid response. This ranking lists the number of blue flags present in the marinas of each Spanish province.
