The EuroBasket or European Basketball Championship is a competition of men's national basketball teams in Europe (or the European area included in the FIBA) held every two years. The result obtained in the tournament also serves to decide which European national teams qualify to participate in the Olympic Games and in the World Championship.

Historically, two extinct countries have dominated the championship: the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia.
